Glock 10mm Gen 5 - I bought a G20 from a Glock store a year ago and it's a great sidecar for use on my ranch in northwest Colorado. I have full confidence in his ability to handle any situation that may arise in this village. With the Winchester Silver Tip, recovery and ski jumping are very manageable. For the big game hunter, this is a top-notch sidearm.
I hear this is the best tool for those bear encounters that have been increasing since last year's fishing.

With small ejection slides, it's more difficult to shoot in the field - loading magazines by hand is difficult.

I've since installed a retro release "stick" which is very easy to clean after a day's shooting.
I also bought a plastic cap for the empty handle near where the mag goes in. I hear dirt can get through it into the firing mechanism - but still safe.
Be sure to push it firmly into the body of the weapon with full enchantment - it's awkward for the enchantment to fall off. Optimistic - The magic spring will weaken a bit.

G19 Gen 5 Is The Best All Around Glock, Change My Mind
I bought a G20 GEN 4 a month ago. I bought it cheap. Even if I paid more, I'd still be a happy guy!
I went to the range last week and shot 3 different types of ammo. BLAZER, SIG/SAUER and ARMSCOR. No problem with all 3. But I would say I like ARMSCOR the best.
I shot the whole FMJ with single shot and semi-auto. The gun worked flawlessly! Of course, it's a Glock!
I have an old G19 from the early 1990's and it is still a great gun. I have always carried this, or when I first bought a RUGER 1911 45ACP.
Glock 17 Gen 5 Mos 9mm
I have a smaller 4-problem gun, but I like more power! Owner, I.E. A woman likes a small gun anyway. I don't want to make him angry. He's better than me! His father raised him in NRA competition in the late 1950's and early 60's, where he won a bunch of trophies and always beat the guy! It had to hurt!
I'm torn between the 10mm and the .45 ACP, however, after doing a lot of ballistics and performance research, there's no doubt... the G20 wins in all departments: velocity and muzzle and target power, flight path, etc. A little pricey, still happy, I got it mostly for personal protection, but if that black bear shows up in my back yard again it might get some lead shampoo!
I'm on the verge of getting one of these. I never considered a Glock because of the plastic and no manual safety. But, one in 0.45acp fell into my lap and it really grew on me - quality, ergonomics, simplicity and weight considerations. So this will be my first 10mm and based on my previous Glock experience...the 15 round 10mm I call "home" should be fine for anything I encounter in the Rocky South.

It was my first gun, and like your first love, it will always be your favorite gun. Nine months into shorts and t-shirt weather in Houston, I usually carry its little brother, the Glock 29. But as cool as it is, I still pack the G20 when I'm wearing a jacket. With a 16-round slot, I think I can handle anything that comes my way. If Sasquatch had bad judgment, the G20 would be nothing but sorry for it. Love this tool.
My Glock 20 is my home defense weapon, no harm done, but it is a weapon to protect me from wildlife and other intruders.
I was looking for a more powerful gun than the 9MM and .45 ACP. Lots of recommendations for the 10MM, so I bought a Gen 4 G20 using one of the blue brand certifications.

This tool is a complete package. It is strong but manageable. Amazingly powerful, I use it with confidence for any home defense or big game (ie bears). This is my fifth Glock and I love every one of them.
It will be interesting to see what the Gen 5 G20 adds to the mix, if Glock ever makes one (it will obviously be a new model number).
